| | | Women's Asian Games Qualifiers | 20 May 2010 | Singapore aim for tp three finish at Asiad qualifiers
20 May 2010, SINGAPORE | Singapore's National Women Team have left for Bangkok in the hope of securing qualification for the 2010 Asian Games to be held in Gungzhou in November. The team will play a minimum of 4 games and a maximum of 5 in the 9-day tournament.
The qualifiers is still going ahead despite the reported unrest in the Thai capital. Security assurances have been given and the 5 teams have arrived ready for action.
Going by the men's qualifiers which just ended in Bangladesh, one can expect the competition to be tough and the reuslts unpredicatable.
Singapore will start against Hong Kong will be hoping for a good showing to set the tone for the rest of their campaign. The Singapore hockey fraternity wishes Team Singapore the best for the qualifiers.
