4 June 2010, SINGAPORE | It's exciting times this hockey weekend with 4 tantalising games. On Saturday, Police Sports Association takes on Jansenites in the Singapore Hockey Federation (SHF) Women's Premier League at Sengkang Hockey Stadium. At Delta Stadium, Tornados Hockey Club locks horns with Hollandse Club Max in the SHF Women's Division 1 Play-Off Finals.

Police who are 3^rd in the league know that a poor showing against 4^th placed Jansenites will severely dent their hopes of winning the Premier League title this season. Lying 6-points adrift of league leaders Singapore Cricket Club (SCC), Police know that only a win will allow them to keep pace with them.

Jansenites' slim hopes of winning the league will be dealt a huge blow if they fail to claim all 3-points on offer on Saturday. Meanwhile at Delta, Tornados and Hollandse Club Max will renew rivalries when they meet to decide the Play-Off title in the women's Premier League.

Tornados are keen to end the season unbeaten but Max edged out Hollandse Club Lex in the semi-finals and will be equally eager to put paid to Tornados' stellar record as they did to Singapore Recreation Club(SRC) "A" and Buccaneers.

On Sunday, SCC will look to extend their lead atop the league when they clash with Crescent Hockey Club. Crescent who are winless this season will be looking to change that statistic and claim a major scalp and harm SCC's hopes of winning the league from arch rivals SRC, the defending champions.

SRC will be on their toes against Jansenites after the SCC-Crescent game as they will expect their neighbours to have secured a win. Anything other than a win would be viewed as a failure and tremendous hinder their chance of retaining the Premier League title.-Story by SHF
