4 June 2010, SINGAPORE |The Singapore Hockey Federation (SHF) Men's Premier League (MPL) continues this weekend, with league leaders Singapore Recreation Club (SRC) and Police Sports Association in action on Saturday.

SRC extended their lead at the top of the league to 4-points following their 2-0 midweek win over the Singapore Youth Olympic Games (YOG) squad. Despite being a quartet of points behind the league favourites, Police have 2-games in hand and they take YOG in a sweltering 3pm fixture at Sengkang Hockey Stadium.

SRC will then take to the field in the Padang derby against Singapore Cricket Club (SCC) at 4.45pm. SCC's season has not taken off yet and good showing against the defending champions and jump start their push for a top four finish.

Jansenites complete the day's fixtures with their clash against Old Rafflesians' Association (ORA) at 6.30pm. The Northern Singapore club can't afford to drop anymore points if they are to keep pace with the top two sides. They have a good chance to do some overdue catching up as they play a double-header this weekend.

Jansenites take on YOG on Sunday at 8.15pm and should be able to close the gap at the top.-Story by SHF
