ActiveSG Cup Finals

ActiveSG Cup Finals

The ActiveSG Cup Finals 2025 brought together an energetic crowd of young hockey players, families, coaches, and community supporters for a memorable celebration of youth sport. The finals showcased not only the skill and determination of our budding athletes, but also the passion that continues to fuel Singaporeโ€™s vibrant hockey community.

This year, the event held special significance with the presence of our Singapore National Athletes, who took time out of their demanding schedules โ€” even with the SEA Games less than a month away โ€” to attend the finals. Their commitment to supporting the next generation demonstrates the strong culture of mentorship and unity within Singapore hockey. For many young players, having national athletes encouraging them from the sidelines was an unforgettable and motivating experience.

We were also honoured to have Ms Amy Hing, Deputy Secretary (MCCY), as our Guest-of-Honour. She shared meaningful words of encouragement, reminding our youth athletes of the importance of resilience, character, and teamwork both on and off the pitch. Her message left a lasting impact on the players, parents, and coaches present.

Throughout the day, the courts were filled with energy โ€” from tightly contested matches to moments of admirable sportsmanship. The finals highlighted the progress of our young athletes and the joy of learning through play.

SHF is grateful to have been invited to attend this yearโ€™s finals, providing our national athletes the opportunity to inspire, engage, and give back to the community that supports them. Moments like these play a key role in strengthening the pathway from grassroots participation to high-performance hockey.

As our National Athletes continue their preparation for the SEA Games 2025, we hope the inspiration they shared today stays with every child who stepped onto the court. The future of Singapore hockey is bright โ€” and it starts with experiences like this.
