About the campaign – Masters’ World Cup 2026

The Singapore National Masters Hockey Teams will be competing in the upcoming Masters World Cup in Holland and Belgium, which will be held in July/August 2026.

Seven (7) teams have indicated their interest in representing Singapore at the Masters’ World Cup 2026. The potential teams are ladies over 35s and 40s, and men’s over 40s, 45s, 50s 55s and 60s.

Our ambition is to facilitate and nurture greater participation by veterans in high level international sports tournaments/events such as the Masters Hockey World Cup. This tournament is organised by World Masters Hockey (WMH) that aims to inspire and support enjoyment and participation for all nations in Masters Hockey. The WMH is recognised by the world hockey governing body, Federation of International Hockey (FIH). WMH has the sole responsibility for organising and managing official Masters Hockey tournaments globally, and the tournaments are played in accordance with FIH rules and standards.

The Singapore Hockey Federation (SHF) is Singapore’s representative at FIH, and SHF has sanctioned its affiliate, Masters Hockey Society (UEN No. T25SS0061K), a registered society to organise the Singapore Masters teams for this prestigious tournament.

Singapore Masters hockey fielded teams at previous Masters World Cups in South Africa (2022 and 2024) and in Auckland, New Zealand (2024). The Masters World Cup attracts teams from all continents (with more than 40 countries expressing interest in participating).  Our Masters ladies over 40s and mens over 40s were ranked eight (8th) in the world in 2024!

A number of our masters players represented Singapore in their youth and a number have returned from “retirement” to participate in these tournaments; hence, re-igniting active participation in sport at a later stage in their lives.  The masters’ players are also very representative of our multi-national and multi-cultural society, and coming from all walks of life.

Participation in the Masters hockey is a self-funded activity; thus we seek your invaluable support and generous contribution through cash donations to help offset cost of participation for our masters’ athletes. This will also ensure that means to participate will not be a barrier to participation. Your contribution will go a long way in our endeavours to keep the spirit of good sportsmanship and camaraderie, and active ageing alive.

In addition, contributions could be channeled through “Master Hockey’s Giving.sg”, currently qualifying for a 2.5x tax deduction (subject to prevailing IRAS rules and IPC eligibility).
